Goats are social animals so they are considered herd animals. Never keep just one goat as they depend on one another for their own safety; they need at least one partner.
We do our best to place quality animals. We can not guarantee how an animal will mature, their full grown height, or how the doeling's mammary system will develop.
If you are an out-of-state buyer and need an animal shipped to you, I will do so out of Portland International Airport (PDX) out of Portland, Oregon. Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs (crates, health certificates, tests and transportation to airport).
A few hours after kids are born and they have imprinted with their mother we begin petting them and picking them up It's important to do this frequently - even one day without physical interaction will cause the babies to become wild.
Kids are usually weaned and ready to go to their new home at 8-12 weeks old. Kids taking the bottle well can go early as bottle babies. All of our kids start off with their dams and at 2 weeks old. We pull kids from their dams at night for 12 hrs, bottle feed all kids with their dams milk in the morning, and reunite dam and kids during the day time. This insures that our does stay at a high milk production. If you are interested in a bottle baby we can discuss that option at three weeks old.
All kids will come disbudded unless polled and will be up to date on Coccidiosis prevention, dewormed, and will be ADGA registered when they leave the farm. If sold as a wether, they will be banded.
*Height of your animal is not guaranteed.
*Health of the animal sold is not guaranteed after it leaves our property.
